Keep Your Boat and Vehicle at Camp This Winter
Illinois Turner Camp offers on-site winter storage for boats, cars, trailers and other approved recreational vehicles, with outdoor, under-roof and indoor options. Storage is open to members and non-members.
- Out of the way. The storage area is inside the campground, well away from main streets and out of sight, and is looked after by the Facility Manager.
- Convenient. Your boat or vehicle stays close to home and is easy to collect when the season opens.
- Cost effective. One seasonal fee covers October 15 to April 30, with under-roof and indoor options for those who want cover.
Space is limited and allocated first come, first served.

One fee per item covers the whole winter season. Members of an Illinois District society pay the member rate.

- Rates are for the winter storage season, October 15 – April 30, and are not prorated.
- Early drop-off or delayed pickup will incur a fee of $50.
- All storage space is subject to availability.
- Rates marked TBD have not been set yet. Ask the Facility Manager.
Storage Agreement
Download the agreement, complete and sign it, and return it with your payment before you drop off.
How It Works
- Check availability. Call the Facility Manager at 224-389-3831. Space is limited and all storage is subject to availability.
- Complete and sign the Storage Agreement. Each storage period is a separate agreement, so a new one is needed every season.
- Pay the seasonal fee before you drop off. Pay by personal or bank check made payable to the Illinois District of American Turners, mailed to ITC Treasurer, P.O. Box 211, Fox River Grove, IL 60021, or left in the locked ITC mailbox at the front gate. Zelle is also accepted; the details are in the agreement. Cash is not accepted.
- Display your Authorized Storage Tag. The camp issues a tag for each storage period. Fix it where it can be seen.
- Collect in spring. The camp notifies you when your property must be removed, on or about the last two weeks of April. Property placed in winter storage stays in place until then.
Good to know
- Dropping off before the agreement is signed and the fee is paid carries a $100 fine.
- Storage is at the owner’s risk. The camp does not provide a security system or insure stored property, so arrange your own cover.
- Stored property must stay registered, with plates or stickers visible.
- Maintenance and repairs are not permitted on property while it is in storage.
